Our lived-experience Recovery Navigators work alongside individuals to provide sustained, tailored support that responds to personal needs, systemic barriers, and gaps in available services.
Wizer CIC have dedicated pathways for males (Project Phoenix) and females (Project Athena) requiring support. Both projects provide wrap- around, intensive support for prison leavers, and focuses on all aspects of life to address criminogenic needs, health, employment and sustainability.
To ensure the best possible outcomes, contact should begin 16 weeks prior to release to build professional relationships in a trauma informed way and ensure effective release plans are in place for continuity of care.
While the project’s aims and outcomes are consistent, the specific vulnerabilities of women leaving prison require a dedicated female pathway. Project Athena therefore ensures that Recovery Navigators are female, providing a safe and tailored approach to support women’s rehabilitation and reintegration.
